Passenger
letter to Mesaba COO John Spanjers
Dear Mr. Spanjers:
I am an orthopedic surgeon who travels frequently on Mesaba Airlines. I have always enjoyed flying Mesaba, primarily because of the friendliness of the employees and the sense of pride they seem to have in their jobs.
However, as I understand things now, with the bankruptcy proceedings, there is danger of significant wage cuts for the pilots, flight attendants and mechanics.
I know most of us "respond" to being paid a fair wage for fair work. When even shallow cuts in wages or benefits occur, pride and a sense of responsibility begin to dwindle and the ripple effect affects the esspirit de corps of the entire organization.
I would not like to see this happen with Mesaba Airlines!
Please do everything you can to keep wages and benefits at or above the current levels.
Thank you very much for listening.
Sincerely,
(name withheld)
